Artist and designer Mike Shine started making art in college and after landing a job a Chiat Day Ad Agency was able to make art a full time job, but not without sacrificing his love for painting and an epic mission to tell the story of Flotsam, a Faustian character Mike has become obsessed with. More then just creating an exhibition, Mike creates experiences where his audience is thrust into his world and asked to play a game, of course the stakes are not what they seem. Along with a merry band of musicians and carneys Mike’s performances and installations have become legendary and now we have a glimpse into the mind behind Flotsam.
